Who knew that something so derivative could be so good. I just bought the album Nice, by Puffy AmiYumi, and almost every song sounds like someone else. From the Beatles to the Buggles, they shamelessly borrow riffs, styles, and sounds. And it rules. Invisible Tomorrow could have come right off the soundtrack for Josie and the Pussycats (one of my favorites). I've listened to it half a dozen times tonight.

In other news, watch for me on KTVU (SF Fox affiliate) on Saturday evening around 6:00. I'll be part of a sixty foot dragon in the opening ceremony of the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade. I'll tell you what, it looks pretty light, all bamboo and polyester, but dragons are heavy. Very heavy.
